Connect people to widen the circle of smiles even further
Owing to your support, we are now in our second year after the founding of our association. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am sure there were many people who asked themselves “What can I do?” after the Great East Japan Earthquake. In my case, it has always been to continue sending messages of support in many different formats. It did not really take much time and guts to find myself start asking TV personalities that I knew to write handwritten messages for a special edition I was creating at my own expense. And it was about the time when I had a fairly large stock of those messages that one junior high school student approached me while I was shooting scenes in a disaster-hit area. The student was drawn over by the photo I had been holding of the artist we would use for the gallery proofs. When he read the message his face quickly became brighter. It was such a large smile ? as if his favourite person had suddenly started talking to him from the paper. This clearly illustrates the backdrop for our story. From now on, we want to continue sending messages of support, and connecting people to widen the circle of smiles even further. We ask for your continued support.

Purpose of establishment

We listen to what people in weak social positions have to say, search for clues to solutions from various angles, formulate specific solutions, and implement them to create a just and fair society where everyone can be themselves and live with a sense of security. We aim to be a bridge between people in need of support and people who want to provide support, and seek to restore the disaster-hit areas ? and all of Japan ? to robust health and happiness again.

事業 The objectives of the corporation shall be to provide support for rebuilding areas damaged in the Great East Japan Earthquake, and to reinvigorate local communities and the whole of Japan by serving as a bridge between people, communities, and organisations. To which end, the corporation shall carry on the following activities.
1. Editing, production, issuing, and distribution of community support newsletters.
2. Drafting, planning, and operation of events.
3. All activities incidental or related to the foregoing.
